MOTOR CYCLING.

To-morrow afternoon, commencing at 2.15 o'clock, an open speed-judging competition will be held under tho auspices of tho New Zealand Motor Cycle Club. The course will be from Clyde Quay to llsland Bay, via Kent Terrace, Adelaide Road, Constable Street, and Maranui, and back to Clyde Quay School. Competitors will nieet at Clyde Quay School. at 2.15 p.m., and will be dispatched in pairs, at intervals of one minute. Koch rider, be r fore starting, will be given a card show-, ing the rate of speed to ran at. The exact time which should l>e taken to cover tho distance will be worked out, and at tho finish the places will be allotted occwdingto the actual time taken. The use of ■speedometers and watches will bo barred.
