Robert S. de Courcy Laffan, hon. secretary of the British Olympic Association, interviewed, expressed tho opinion that it would be necessary to give tho trainer of tho British Olympic team .£IOOO a year, with four provincial subordinates at .£250 per annum apieco, the subordinates to look out tor likely youngsters and see they were properly coached.
CANADIAN COMPLAINTS. Ottawa, August 7. Howard, a member of tho Canadian Olympic,team, stales that the men coming home signed a round robin, detailing a dozen grievances.. The chief were that tho president, Merrick, stayed in England, and did not visit Sweden; that the secretary, Crow, was never there when wanted; and jthafc the trainer, Knox, was unduly overbearing and ill-used Kerrison (another athlete) bodily. Those who, signed stnte that they will never compete under such conditions again.
