CANADA WILL STAND BT THE EMPIRE. By Tolegraph-FreSß Aesociation-Copyrlent Ottawa, August 5. Mr. Foster, Minister for Trade and Customs, says that tho Prime Minister (Mr. R. L. Borden) has shown that Canada is resolved to stay by the "Empiro in fair weather or foul. Mr. Borden had made it plain that a permanent policy of Empire defence was necessary, with a consulting voice for Canada. The importance of the overseas Dominions was ; realised by Great Britain now.
