LECTURE BY SIR ROBEiRT STOUT. The Chief Justice (Sir Robert Stout) is to deliver a lecture for the Wellington Eugenic Education Society on Monday, in the Sydney Strict Schoolroom. His interest in the problem of race improvement is well known, and his lecture is expected to contain much which will interest and enlighten. The lecture will treat of the importance of heredity as illustrated b)y the pedigrees of eminent men, and will show how nations, such as Spain, have suffered as a result of being drained during long years of their best blood. It will also deal with the special problems with which Now Zealand lias to cope and also with some aspects of tho effect .of alcohol upon tho race.
