The annual meeting of tho 'lfcrrace End Bowling anil Tennis Club was held at the pavilion last evening, when there was a largo attendahce. of members and Mr. C. F. Spooner (president) occupied the chair. The annual report stated that the receipts amounted to ,£4O more than tho previous year. Twenty new members were elected, and the following officers .were appointed:—.President, Mr. R. H. Sollitt; viee-presidents, Messrs. S. Ayling, B. Martin, and J. Harris; secretary, Mr.C. F. Spooner; assistant-secretary, Mr. P. M'Hardy; treasurer, Mr. \V. Mundv; committee, 'Messrs. Turner, Jones, Sutcliffe, Sinclair, and Stubbs; green superintendent, Mr. E. H. Sollitt. Donations for competitions for tho coming season were promised by the president, cup £a 55.; Mr, D. Craig, gold medals, value »C 5; Mrs. • Rawlins, J!l. There was a large attendance of members at tho Palmerston Working Men'; Club last evening, the occasion being thf presentation of nrizes won in tile animal competition. These were presented b\ the president. (Mr. A. J. Mahon). as follow:— Billiards, A class: W. Bartlett, 1 E. J. Kasli, 2; special for breaks, .1 O'Connor, 1; Bertiuist. 2 and 3. B class T. Billing.
