9 A enjoyable and somewhat uncommon entertainment, with (lie object of benefiting tha St. Barnnbns Church buildinpr I'umU, was held in St. Mark's Scliooll'oom last cvcninir. 'I'lie roam was packed to the doors with an audioneo that apparently thoroughly enjoyed Vhl> nerformance. The entertainment' took the form ot' a spectacular "Fairy Fantasy." children's nursery rhymes, gypsy seen'es, and fairy stories that are tlfo delight of youth, being represented on the stage. The scenic effects were very good and the costumes worn by the children taking part in the various stories that were represented were pretty and picturesque. Songs and dance.! made a pleasant variety. Miss Holm being the accompanist. During the evenin.? Mis- Holm and her sister were presented with a book each ns an nnnrceinlion of their work of training the children. Mr. Rankin contributed a musical monologue to Ihe programme, Miss Flux n recitation, Mrs. Kennedy a song and Miss Williams an exhibition of swinging balls. Tim entertainment will be repealed this evening.
