KING'S THEATRE. • ' • The paramount picture of the present programme at the King's Theatre is a Powerful di'nmatic study, entitled "A Toman's Way." A pleasing feature of this picture is its clearness, and the acting and scenery also call for mention. "At Scroggins's Corner" is a Vitagraph drama, featuring John Bunny in a serious vein. Tho programme will be repeated tliis evening/ On Monday next, August 5, a picture entitled "The Snake Dancer"- will lie screened. This is dcseribe<l as a special attraction selected by Mr. West while ho was in Loudon. THE. ADELPHI. This week's programme' 1 seems very much to the taste of patrons .of the Adelphi Theatre. This issue of thePatlio Gazetto (always entertaining) makes > a special feature of the King's Birthday. His Majesty is seen at the famous school at Harrow-oii-thc-Hill, at Windsor taking part in a .miniature parade, at Ascot Racecourse, and the Birthday parade held in his honour. Of the dramas shown, perhaps the best is "A Shattered Life," a Western iucident, telling, in an entirely new manner, the old story of love and hate. -A' beautiful coloured scenic is "The Port of Marseilles," and another interesting coloured picture is "Summer Pictures."; Much hilarity is caused by the star film of the week. "Matrimonial Squalls," a farce which has for its plot one of the' most laughable imbroglios imaginable. The different. items by-the Ladies' Orchestra during the evening are. very" well rendered, and thoroughly enjoyed. THE DANDIES. ! The new company of Dandies are doing goad business at the Concert Chamber, 1 and had another orowded house last evening. Mr. Millar's, bass solo songs are much appreciated, and he appears to be becoming oiio of tho most popular of tho company. The humorous side of tho programme is particularly strong this week. The more serious songs are, however, sung in a talented way. Miss Heuder-. son and Miss Byrae help wit ! i good effect to make the programme bright and entertaining. This programme will be repeated to-night.
