Tho conference adopted the following ; Taumarunui remit:—"That tlio Maori r Councils Act. be amended so that Maori Councils shall not have any jurisdiction within tho boundary of any borough in matters over which the local authority may have control." Thanks to the Wellington City Council for the use of tho Council Chamber, and to the preis for its reports of the proceedings, concluded the business of the conference, which adjounisd shortly after 4 p.m. .
