Tho directors of Ross Reconstructed have issued a circular lu shareholders pointing out that after making every preparation for unwatcring the mine, they have been advised by cable that the contractors for the ' Diesel oil engine, which was needed as a stand-by plant, cannot give delivery in New Zealand before tho end of November owing to the recent coal strike in England. The directors have consulted with tho mine manager and electrical engineer, and these two experts state that it, would be quite safe to begin operations with the existing plant, and the directors endorse this opinion as being in tho beat interests of the comnany. Shareholders aro asked whether they will consent to thi; course being pursued, or whether they will prefer to see operations delayed until the oil engine is installed. STOCK EXCHANGE.
