The Privy Council lias decided that tho Canadian law legalising all Canadian marriages solemnised by an authorised clergyman under the laws of tlio provinces is ultra vires. Tho Quebec! Government's contention that such a Federal law is inapplicable b that province, inasmuch as tho marriage laws are' exclusively nndor provincial jurisdiction, is thus sustained.
