The funeral of Hip Into Mr. Henry Scott M'Kollar, formerly Secretary for Customs, took place on Saturday afternoon. Anionst (hose present were the Jiishop of Wellington (Dr. Spratt), Archdeacon Fancourt, Mr. Montgomery (Seercfary for Custom?), and officials of t.ho Customs Department. At tiie residence of Mr. Charles Jiarraud, Gladstone Street, a short service was conducted by Archdeacon Harper. Tho interment took place in the Bolton Street Cemetery, Ajeluleacon Harper and the Kev. Mr. Drummond, of the Melanesian Mission, officiating at Hie graveside, Many wreaths were sent by frie.ids in Wellington, Pnlmorston North, and other places. Amongst'numerous messages of sympathy received by the relatives was a letter from (lie Hoii. F. jr. B. Fisher, Minister for Customs, who expressed regret at Hie death of Mr. M'Kellar. and referred to the able and conscientious manlier in which he had always discharged his official duties. The oiliof mourners wore Messrs. Dugald and James M'Kellar (brothers), Mr.. Cyril M'Kellar (not)liew), Messrs. N. Barra'ml, and 0. Torritt (sons-in-law), and Messrs. C. and F. Barraiid. Mr. Borneo Gardiner, who was Riven n complimentary concert at the Town Flail last livening, has made arrangements to leave Wellington for Sydney on August 13.
