DEAL IN TRENTHAM SECTION3. In. the Supreme Court yesterday, before Mr. Justice Cooper,, legal argument was heard in the.' case of Bpnthome. v. Backstroni, in. which evidence, had been heard during the last civil sittings. The parties to the. action were Edward Anurew ; Bonthorne, ironmonger, of Wellirlgtori, plaintiff, and Christina .Backstrom, wife of Christian? ; Backstrom,' of, Trenthamv liefendant. . ■ Mr. F. E. Petherick appeared- for Bonthorne, and Mr. T. C. A. Hisloi) appeared for Mrs. Backstrom. The claim was in respect of two adjoining sections at Trentham fronting on the Maiii Road. It was alleged that Bon-' thorne-had bought these, from Mrs, Backstrom on. the understanding that.the laud ■ would be a corner section; and.'- that' the :land, bounding on the north, side,, would be used as a road, to be known as Dela'.gai'de.Rqad, It was now alleged that Mrs. BackstT.om had expressed the intention. 'of using the land on the north side for purposes- other than reading, and Bon- . thorne. asked for an injunction to restrain her from so doing. l In the alternative, Bonthorne claimed .£SO as compensation for alleged breach of agreement. : J -His Honour veserv'eil decision. ' .
