FEATHERSTON ITEMS.

A concert was held in the South Fentherston Schoolroom on Friday night, and notwithstanding the unfavourable weather, there was a por.il rtttP't'.iuec, the. building being comfortably filled. The first half of the programme' was contributed by tho children, whose glees and action songs were very well rendered. In the second part vocal items were given by Mrs. .1. H. Fieldhousc and Messrs. Heaton and Fieldhousc, and a pianoforto recital by Miss Bentlcy, A number of intending performers were prevented from attending owing to the impassable state of the roads in the district, A dance followed the musical portion of the entertainment. The receipts will bo devoted to the school funds.
