Ihe half-yearly general meeting of the IS ew Zealand Flax Workers' Union did not deal with the question of cancelling the application to the JS'etr Zealand Fedoration, of Labour, as anticipated,. The question was held over for a special f?cneral meeting, to bo held next month. ihere a keen election for the presidency, with three candidates, Mr. Gavin btone, the late acting-secretary, headiii" the poll. The other officers are: Secretary, Mr. Robinson (re-elected); treasurer, Mr. M'lvpr. The election of vicepresidents was?held over. Tho meeting decided by a majority of five votes not to admit tho press.
