Writes the correspondent cf an English paper from New York, dated June 14:— Mrs. Bennett, of Boston, who is sued for divorce by her husband, Dr. Bounett, produced a diary in Cpurt to-day in support of her allegation, that her husb-ind {subjected her to various vexatious iines. Here are some of the fines which the ffifo declared were imposed on her: — For being saucy,' 4s. For being impertinent, Bs. . , Before Mug allowed to read mothers letter, £1. For talking to odd-job man, £1. I;or failure to buy soap, 4s. lor not finding out tho lowest price of Sugar before buying 1001b.'/ .£1 3s. «,? er * ntl ''os in the diary were:- , Mrs. B. draws money to buy baby cariintro and baby clothes. "Two maids dismissed!; Mrs. B\ from now on does.her own housework, washing, etc. ■ deceived tur set fi-caii parents. 'Take WJ, vou can get.' says the doctor. \ Dr. D. in financial straits comes to wile and says: -"how I've raised nil the money I pan. How much can you raise? .We must have some money' 'Got loan of from father."
