TECHNICAL SCHOOL.
BOARD OF MANAGERS. Tho monthly meeting of the Wellington Technical School Board was held last evening, there being present: fuo.ohairman (Jlr. B. Robertson), and Messrs.- W. H Field, Wm. Allan, J. G. W.Aitken, J." P. Luke, and John Smith. Arising out of a letter froin Mr. W. T. Hambly on the subject of instituting classes which would bo of value to sheep-raen-Lthe writer 'pointed out that there had been frequent complaints from smell sheep formers in Nelson ana Mariborough that competent men for sheep work were scarce—there was a short discussion with regard to the funotion of tho Technical School in its relation to pastoral pursuits. Mr. J. G. W. Aitkon suggested that the writer be communicated with with tho object of obtaining further details with regard to the matter. , After a brief discussion this was agreed The resignation of Miss Pryor (Cookery Department) was accepted with regret. Consideration of tho report of the director on the subject of establishing an Engineering Board of Control, deferred from the previous" meeting of the board, was held ov-er. '~,., With regard to a proposal to establish classes in physical training in connection with the Technical School, the suggestion of the director that arrangements be made for tho admission of students to the physical training classes at tho Y.M.C.A. was approved. Mdlfc. (In Bpsson was appointed to conduct cln«es in French—one class i>cr week. It was stated that about twelve students wcro taking tho course, and that more wcro expected to como forward before tho end of tho quarter.
