Notification was received from the secretary of:the Wairarapa Rugby Football Union that tho Wairarapa juniors would arrive in Wellington on Saturday morning. Ho suggested that Mr. Atkinson act , as referee. - It wiis docided to agree to the appointment of Mr. Atkinson. It was decided to carry out the.,usual Custom of tho union by giving a' dinner to the Wellington public school representatives and the Wairarapa public school ' representatives on Saturday evening, August 3, on the occasion of their annual match. ' . : The chairman: "We have entered into [agreement and wo mean, to stick to it." He •;was sorry to hear • anyone say that the committeo was endeavouring to get [away from the agreement. ' Mt. Weir then moved: "That a deputation wait on the Potone Borough Council to discuss the whole question of playing/grounds."—Carried. In view of the bad conditions of the grounds at Hutt'it was decided to transfer , the Oriental-Victoria College match to Polo No. 2, and the' Wpiwetu-Old Boys' fourth-class fixture from Young's- groundto Sharpe's No. 2. Mention was made of the fact that on Saturday-week next the North and South Island country teams would play in Wellipgton. Mr. Parry moved: "That all matches below- senior grade be post- . poned." He thought that it was only "a fair thing" as the New Zealand Rugby Union was doing much to foster football in the country districts. Ho . would ' like to see the senior matches. put off, but this was well' nigh impossible, 'as the weather conditions had,interfered considerably, with these matches ,of late.

They said that "the club games-would bo on an amateur basis as no persons would receive "money. 'In these games, therefore, I' played one game only. I have not played a. game since, nor have I received money for that gnme._ Now can you give mo your best attention because I want to be reinstated and bo a true amateur as I thought I wns in the League."—Referred to the New Zealand Union.'
