RECIPROCITY.
ME. .TAFT AND THE CANADIAN FAILURE. Br Tcleeraph—Press Association—OoDyrieit Washington, July 23. President Taft has written to the Senate's Finance Committee favouring the repeal of tho Canadian Reciprocity Act in oonsequence of Canada's refusal, to enter into a trade pact. President Taft's action is regarded as an endeavour to conciliate the farming: clement, which was bitterly opposed to the agreement of 1911.
