SUBSCRIPTION FOE THE NATIONAL LOAN. Sydney, July 22. At a meeting of Chinese merchants it Svas decided to subscribe ,£6OOO to.China's national loan. A similar amount is being raised in Melbourne. The proposal, for a six-Power loan is bondemned, and it is hoped that tho loan ■will be subscribed by the nation, thus enabling China to retain her independence.
