THE JUNIOR. SELECTION. With reference to the selection of the I Wellington junior representative, team a correspondent writes as .follows :— Sir,—As one who takes a great interest in junior football, I would Uko to draw attention' to the way junior footballers are treated by the selectors. I sec that. in the tram picked to play against Wairarapa next Saturday Pctone has nine players and the town teams have got the other six divided amongst them. I was under the impression that these games were for the encouragement of young players—not for the benefit of the I'ctone club. Also, I would like to know what men like Shnrdlow, Lindsay, and Nankeville are doing in the team. Nico encouragement for young players to see exseniors in the junior representatives! It is a pity they could not drop theso oldstagers; in fact, they ought themselves to drop out for shame sake, and sive some of the.other clubs not represented in the so-called Wollington junior representatives a chance.—l am. etc., FAIEPLAY.
