ANNEXATION.

UNITED STATES AND CANADA. A NATIONALIST VIEW. By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright (Rec. July 21, 5.5 p.m.) Ottawa, July 20. Mr. Bourassa, the Nationalist leader at Montreal, discussing the effects of the annexation of Canada by the United States,- endeavours to lead tho French Canadians to beliovo that they would bo no worse off under the Stars and Stripes than under the Union Jack. Ho declared that tho English people in Quebec do not learn the French language and that they treat those who speak French contemptuously. There are signs of a complete breach between the Nationalist party and the Borden party, although during the elections of 1911 M. Bourassa was accused of having sold himself to Mr. Borden's pro-British policy.
