BELATED STEAMERS. • Judging by indications yesterday, it seemed evident that the gale, which has made ibolf unpleasantly i'-elt during tho pnst few days, has blown itself out. Very, littlo rain fell yesterday, and tho wind dropped considerably. After a voyage of about 6oven days, which under ordinary circumstancce Occupies about three days and a half, tho Wa'rrimoo arrived hero from Sydney yesterday evening. During tho voyage she encountered exceptionally heavy sens, ami conscQuontlv speed had to be reduced. Tho vessel had a quantity of deck cargo—largely fruit—and a mimbw of cases wero washed overboard. Part of tho railing on tho starboard side of the vessel was. broken oif, but other than that no ydnmoge/was reported. / Tlio Aorangi, which arrived boiuo two hours later, mot with bad weather during her run from Sydney/but tlio only actual damage'reported was the. carrying nwnv'of a ladder forehead;- During-the : neightof the storm tlio vessel's .speed was .decreased, this having tho eflect of -increasing the passengers' comfort. •
.BODY FOUND. - (Br Tolecr&Dli.— Prcsj Association,) -■"•■ Featherston, July 19. Tho body of Frank Fletcher, drowned in tho Whakawiriwiri Creek, Knhautara, on Wednesday, was recovered to-Jay, and brought into Fentherstou, where tho inquest will Ira held to-morrow. Deceased was fll'yeartt of age, and Avns-born at Cambridge, Wivikato. Ho had been married only about a year.
