The weekly official note from the Wellington Rugby Union is as follows:—Tho championship games which are likely to be worth attention are those between Wellington and Melroso, and Poneko versus Athletic, at Athletic Park. The grounds .all through are in a muddy state, and it is probable that most of them will bo declared unfit for play, in which case it is likely that the uuion will have to declare all matches off below the junior grade. On present appearances Petone appears unplayable, and, if it is definitely decided this morning that this is so, the senior game Oriental v. MOTOR-CYCLE CLUB,

A speed-judging competition will behold to-day, open to all comers. The course is from Clydo Quay School (via Kent Terrace, Adelaide Itoad, Constable Street, Maranui, Island Bay, Eintoul Street, Adelaide Road, Keiit Terrace) to Clyde Quay Sohool. 'Competitors will meet at Clyde Quay School at 2.15 p.m., and will bo dispatohod in pairs at intervals of ono minute. Each rider, before starting, will be given a card showing rate of epeed to nut at. : The exact time which should be t-akon to cover the distance will be worked out, and at the finish the places will be allotted according to tho actual time taken. The use of speedometers imd watches will bo barred.'
