Ferris, rescuing J, Nisbett, from drowning at Auckland on April 17, certificate. ■ ' • ■ . Win. H. Douglas, attempting to rescue. Gordon Brown from drowning, at Gis- • borne, on April 11, bronze racdal. Dorothy Irwin, rescuing Margaret P«ake i. from drowning at Tiiuaru on March 4,. 1911, letter of commendation. Dr. Johnson and Dr. Dillncr, rescuing Mrs. Corbett from drowning at Napier on November 3, 1911, certificate. Tawluii Kara, rescuing Erio Jones from drowning at Napier on January 16, certificate. ' • Walter H. Gordon, rescuing Mrs. Brown from death on the railway at Hastings on May 22, silver medal. Hereto Herango and Mary Hororin, rescuing Alice B. Hallett from drowning at Mercer on February 11, certificates. ■ Mary Anne Coyle, rescuing Florence M. Underwood from being burned at tho Union Collieries on October 1, 1911, silver medal. At the annual meeting of the society last year's officers wore re-elected witli tlio addition of tlio Prime Minister (the Hon. , W. F. Massey (as one of the vice-patrons. Of tliirty-sovcn applications received; thirty-two were considered worthy of recognition. The report regretted that the assistance from tho publio was not more liberal.
