Local streams arc running full, and lands arc flooded. Shannon, July 16—Gale on Monday night; heavy rain: Jlanawatu River rising again. Otaki, July 16.—Rain; heavy at intervals. Featherston, July 16—Steady rain has keen falling since Monday night. Rivers in heavy Hood. Greytown, July 16—Exceedingly wet weather has set in here. The ground is flooded, and the Waiohine River is* very high. Mastertou, July 16.—Northerly rain has teen falling for eighteen hours, with every indication, of continuing. Rivers are in high flood. Hasting.?. July 15.—Splendid rains fell last right and this morning. This afternoon, lias been fine. '•;.
