The teams • wero as follow :— New Zealand: Pull-back, Hnrgreaves; three-quarters, AVeston, Bradley, Carlaw; five-eighths, Sfoir, Curran; half, Barber; forwards, Evans, Irvine, M. Harvard, Rukutai, King, H. Hayward.' New Sonth Wales: Full-back, Eraser j threc-riuarters, Framloy, Messenger, Camp, bell, Broomham; halves, Normen, Harroway; forwards, Pearce, Noble, Court'nej, M'Cue, Sullivan, Cann. The. game was played in slush, and rain foil continuously. The New South Welshmen showed excellent combination, and did some good passing considering the conditions. Under the original arrangement, ■ fhe departure of tho New Zealand League team wae fixed for next Wednesday, but yesterday tho managers received a cable message advising them that arrangements had been made to play Wellington the following Saturday, and instructed the team to sail yesterday; evening. Before the manager had timo to take steps to comply, the team decided that if it had to leave yesterday evening it would not play yesterday's match. Tho managers then advised the New Zealand League.of the position. ■ ■ The president of tho New South Woleß League has cancelled tho banquet to the New Zcalanders to-morrow night as a protest against ttieir attitude, on the ground that they could not honour players neting insubordinately. The New Zealand League executive endorsed the president's action. TO MEET N.Z. REPRESENTATIVES..
