Gobert is rapidly improving' in his capacity to deal with any situation that arises, and when onco he has thoroughly mastered his temperament and acquired tho ability ; to. adapt himself to all conditions, on ■grass as well as on his beloved 'terrp battue, there is little doubt that tho highest honours the same can givo aro his; His defeat of C. P. Dixon in the Olympic Games, after tho latter bad defeated Wilding, is very sisnificant.
