METHODISM.
TARANAKISTREET CHURCH. As the circuit quarterly meeting of the Board of Management of Tnraiiaki Street Church (presided over by tho Hev. J. G, Chapman) it was stated that tho very inclement weather during the past quarter interfered slightly with the finances, but there is a credit to the circuit of over £95. Tho number of full members returned is 490, and 113 junior. Tho mission reports for Tory Street and Aro Street for the quarter and twelve months were adopted, the balance-sheet in each case revealing small credit balances. Sisters May and Annie were thanked for their services, and it was decided to print their reports. Tho Sunday School rcporls were most satisfactory, special, thanks being tendered to Mr. H. T. H. Grave, .superintendent of Tnranaki Street, for tho increased attendance and general efficiency nf the school. Permission was given to tho trustees of Aro Street- Mission to' proceed with the erection of a new infant class-room. It was decided to' agree to the dates (July 12 and 23, 19)2) for rereiving the JRcv. Vnllance Cook and Mrs. Cook, of London, who are undertaking, at the request of Hie conference, n. mission of inspiration and appeal to the Methodist churches in New Zealand. • Congratulations were extended to the Rev. J. R. Clark nnil the people of Karori upon the successful opening , of their nevr church. A vote of sympnthy was passed to tho Rey. E. 0. Blamires, on account of the serious illness of Mrs. Blamires, and tliemeetinsrodjourned to a futrure date, to consider other important business connected with the circuit.
