Ono delegate said that there were foni Labour Councils in New Zealand, nnd ii was strange if only ono had been consulted. Whether tho men had made a teolinical mistake or not he would suppori them.

Another delegate declared that when (vxvrkers were 6oeking more wages or shorter hours they were never wrong. The executive stated that it was seeking further information, from the Auckland Council.

A proposal to make an immediate appeal to tho unions for assistance, was negatived. '
