He went to the wharf, and assisted by Constable Maronoy, recovered it and convoyed it to tho morgue. He examined tlio body which bore no marks of violence and appeared to have been in tho water about a fortnight. Sinco that thoTo had boen no identification. A verdict of "found drowned" was given. An inquest regarding tho death of Wil- i . Ham Robert Prior, who was killed by a train on the Mnnawatu lino ■ near tho city on Tuesday will ba hold on Friday forenoon.
