A SUDDEN DEATH. Mr. Samuel .TulelF, commcrcial traveller, who had resided in the Wellington district for a great many voarSl was found dead at his homo on tho Old Porirua l!oad,/about throe miles from Johnsonville, at 8 o'clock this morning, with a discharged gun aloiigsido his body. The deceased, who was between 50 and GO vears of ago was for years with Messrs. basteiidyke and Focko, wine and spirit ■ merchants, and later lie travelled for a time for Messrs. Johnßton and Co. He was a popular member of tho Commercial , Travellers' Association, and will be generally regretted. Doceased t leaves v ' widow and family. An inquest will b« held to-day. STILL UNIDENTIFIED, An inquest was held yesterday heforo Dr. M'Arthur regarding tho death of a man who was found drowned m the harbour lost Monday. Constable M'Kclvy gavo ovidonco to tho cffocfc that about 4.15 p.m. on Monday, July 8, herccoived a nWsago from tho Laniotou, Juoy station; stating that the body of a man was float; ing in tho harbour n«ar the Tara.uakv Street Wharf. He went to the wharf, and assisted by Constable Maronoy, recovered it and convoyed it to tho morgue. He examined tlio body which bore no marks of violence and appeared to have been in tho water about a fortnight. Sinco that thoTo had boen no identification. A verdict of "found drowned" was given. An inquest regarding tho death of Wil- i . Ham Robert Prior, who was killed by a train on the Mnnawatu lino ■ near tho city on Tuesday will ba hold on Friday forenoon.
