REGRASSING AT OPTIKI.

MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED. An officer of the Fields and Experiments Division of the Agricultural Department is to visit Opotiki for tho purpose of conferring with the settlers in reference to a suggestion that the Department should undertake certain grassing, experiments. It is understood tlrnt whilst the Department's ulficer is in the locality' opportunity will );e taken to urge the necessity for the establishment of a Government experiment farm in the district.

Mr. A. AVylie, B.Sc., who it was stated some'time ago had been engaged by the Government to carry out work in connection with the experiment stations- connected with the Fields and Experiments Division of the Agricultural Department, will not. it is stated, now como out to New Zealand. Mr. Wylie has been offered inducements to remain in the Old Country.
