AMERICAN WINS 400 .METRES RACE. By Teleerapli—Press Association-Copyriclit - Stockholm, July 8, Craig (America) won the 100 metres race at the Olympic Games. His time was 10 4-ssec. Stewart (Australia) was beaten in tho second round. There was a sensational incident in the semi-final of the 400 metres Relay Race. America beat England by three yards, but was disqualified owing to Wilson, in taking tho pass from Deloite, overrunning tho mark by_ a metre. (Rec. July 10, 0.55 a.m.) Stockholm, July 9. In the running events at the Olympic Games, the 800 metres race was won by Meredith (America) in lmin. 51 9-10seo., a record.' Colehmainon (Finland) won. the 1000 metres race in Bmin. Bsee., a record.
