Owing to an alteration in the time of the departure of the train in the afternoon for the Wai.rarapa district, the mails will close at the Chief Tost Office, Wellington, on and after Monday, July 1. at 3.50 p.m., instead of 3.45 p.m. The uext best dispatch for United Kingdom «nd Continent of Europe will be via Brindifi, dosing at Wellington, per Moeraid, on Friday, July 12. at 3.30 p.m. The next best dispatch for Canada, United States of America. Central America, aud West Indies will be via Barotonga, Tahiti, and San Francisco, closiim at Wellington, per s.s. Aoranci, ou Friday, July 19, at 3 p.m. AH books and sample-packets and newspapers for pk S3 within tho Dominion must bo posted half an hour before tho ordinary letter-mail closes. , TJnlws otherwise specified, registered letters and parcels-post packages must be handed in aiid money-orders obtained one hour before the ordinary mail closes. All the principal mails by train and si earner close at To Aro aaid Oourtenay Place Post Offices at tho same hours as at the Chief Pcot Office, with tho exception that there is no late-fee clearance, and that mails by tho ferry steamers for southern oKlces close at 6 p.m. D.
