WIDESPREAD OUTBREAK. By TelcKraph—Press Aesociation—Copyright London, July 7. There is an outbreak of foot ami mouth disease at Old Maiden, Essex. The moving of cattle, sheep, goats, and swine is prohibited. A considerable area is affected. The Metropolitan Cattle Market will close to-morrow. Two herds have- become infected in Northumberland, and' 293 beasts were slaughtered. Permission to land Irish cattle in Great Britain has been suspended owing to traces of foot and mouth disease in dead animals shipped from Waterford.
