The Henley Regatta was ooncluded yesterday, in bright sunshine, with an attendance of 150,000 spectators. Their Majesties and Princess Mary embarked in tho white and gold State barge, 200 voars old which had never before been so'high up tho Alamos. They were rowed under 10 central arch of tho bridge, and thence through the linos of houseboats and launches, filled with cheering crowds, to the Royal enclosure. The freeboard of the bargo was lavishly gilded, and there was a canopy of rich crimson over the stern. Tho watermen were in scarlet and gold and rowed with eight white oars with scarlet blades. In the final heat for tho Grand Challenge Cup at Henley Regatta, tho • Australmn crew defeated Leander Club crew. in the semi-final tho Australions had no difficulty i n beating New College. The Australians immediately went to the tront and increased their lead to two lengths at the mile, despite tho Now Collego crew's repeated spurts. In tho Diamond Sculis final, M'Culloch, who was indisposed, sculled pluckily, but was outrpwed, and relinquished the race. E. W. Powell (Vikings Club) led from tho start, and won easily in Bmin. 49sec. In the Thames Oup, the Paris Club crew beat St. John's Collego (Oxford) by a length, in 7min. 33seo. For the Stewards' Challenge Cup, the New Collego beat the Thames Club by two lengths and a quarter, in 7min. 36seo. The Queen distributed tho prizes. The Australians and the Frenchmen, were both given wonderfully enthusiastic receptions.
