AUSTRIAN EMPEROR'S ACHIEVEMENT. By, Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Reo. July 5, 11.45 p.m.) Vienna, July 5. Tho- Emperor Francis Joseph, who ascended tho throne on December 2, 1848, has now reigned longer than Queen Victoria, and established a record long reign if the 'minority of Louis XIV of France be left out of consideration.
The ErapeTor of Austria is 81 years of ' age. Queen Victoria reigned from .; uno 20,(1837, until January 22, 19U1-63 years C months 2 days. The Emperor has reigned 63 years 6 months and 3 days. Lo,uis XIV reigned from 1643 to 1715, a period of 72 years. He was 14 years of ago on ascending the throne, and did not reign personally until 1601, making his actual reign 51 years. .
