ARBOR DAY PLANTING.
On Wednesday afternoon school teachers and the -Mayor (Mr. D. M'Laren) met, and discussed the question of tree-planting on Arbor Day.
The Mayor stated that the City Council had nrrangod to plant 48 acres'of Town Bolt at the back of Wellington Terrace. Offers to plant had been made for Maraama Crescent, Ohiro Road, Brooklyn, Wellington Colle.ee grounds, Upland Road, and other places.

Mr. M'Jforran thought Hint it would bo a mistake to let I.limii have much to do with tho actual planting of tlie trees.
