NAVY LEAGUE AFFAIRS.
A communication from the head branch of tho Navy Lcaguo, London, has been received by tho local scorctary, Mr. C. W. Palmer, in regard to the new situation created under tho scheme of Fleet reorganisation, adopted by tho Admiralty. "In view of the Navy Leagm!," says lha letter, "tho scheme os set forth involves tho practical abandon in ent of the Mediterranean with the consequent danger, in the event of war, to our position in Egypt, to our communications with India, and to tho free nassaqo of our trade with-the East via tho Suez Canal as well as with Eastern Europe.
