A meeting of settlers' interested in draught horso breeding was held in Hast-, ings yesterday morning. It was decided to recommend to the Hawko's Bay A. and P. Socioty that all breeding draughts of three years and upwards, entered for its show, should be examined by the. officers of tho Department of Agriculture before being shown in tho ring, and, if rejected for hereditary unsoundness, should 'not go beforo the judge. It was further decided thnt nny horso which passes tho veterinarian at a Ilnwko's Bay show should 1» furnished with a certificate, which should render examination at other shows in the Dominion unnecessary during the fame season.
