An extraordinary crime has been revealed by the, arrest of a Madame Clerc for bribing a man named Parrat, who was recently in a lunatic asylum, to murder her husband, a well-to-do artist Mid engraver. Parrat, who was hidden in tho Clere's house for two days, accosted the pair when they were returning from a theatre, and fired a revolver at tho husband, with fatal results. Tho wife gavo the man 000 francs (about «C2O). Parrat escaped. A servant girl was cross-examined, and tho information thus gained enabled tho detectives to forco Madame Clcrc to .confes.
