■ FIRST CLAUSE CARRIED. ijy Aesoeiation-CopyriEUt (Rcc. July 4, 10.30 p.m.) London, July 4. In the Rouse of Commons the first clause of tho Home Rule Bill was adopted by 31G votes to 224. The action of the Primo Minister, Mr. Asqnith, in moving the closure led to vigorous protests, and ,<i heated scene occurred between Captain Craig, Unionist member for East Down, and Sir. Whitcly, Chairman of Committees.
HOME RULE ALL ROUND. (Rec. July 1, 11.25 p.m.) London, July 1. A Bill introduced by Mr. A. MacC'allum Scott, Liberal member for Bridgoton, Glasgow, giving the United Kingdom government on Moral Hn?s, has been read a first tiros in tho House of Commons by 20t votes to 212. Tho Prime. Minister and othr.T members of tho Government abstained from voting. Sir Ikfus Isaacs (Attorney-General), tho Master of Elibank (Patronage Secretary to tho Treasury), Mr. ,7. M. Robertson (Under-Secretary to Iho Board of Trade), and Mr. J. V,'. Gulland (Junior Lord of tho Treasury) voted in favour of tho Bill. '
