Dalziol) said that lie doubted whether, by applying to Great Britain for certificated teachers, they would obtain a letter class of teachers. Mr. \V. I!. Smith said that commercial pursuits were attracting the best young men and women. Ue was not in iavour of applying to Uic Old Country for teachers. They should extend the inducement) for Now Zealand young people to enter the profession. The motion was carried.
