NEW TRAMWAY TIME-TABLE.

—4 . READY IN THREE WEEKS' TIME. A new tramway time-table,' containing many drastic changes, has been drafted at the instance of the Tramways Board by Mr. Cable, Traffic Superintendent, mid is now in tho printer's hands. It will not be published for at least another throo weeks, but in tho meantimo ar« rangemonts will bo made for tho carry ing out of tho contemplated changes. Among those will bo'tho runningof the Newtown cars to Thorndon Quay instead of to Tinakori lioad as at present, whilst tho oars for tho latter section will bo drawn from those now employed on tho Mount Victoria tunnel soctiou. The object of this movement is in tho direction of retaining as ninny cars as possible for tho paving mid-city limes, without unduly curtailing tilio 6orvico oil lesi iikrnl'ivo sections. It is understood that Oriental Bay will rather benefit by the change, for tlio reason mentioned. Tho iwio of the new time-table has been considernbly delayed by Karon's Tonucst for a more* oconomioa.l service, involving a fifteen, (liirtv, and fortv-fivo miuuto sorvico. To fit this in with tho city services lias not beon found to bo a very easy task, but it has been practically arranged, and tho now arrangement will be included in tho timo-tublo about to be issued.
