Cold and misty woather in tho morning; fair to cloudy afterwards, and indications for a change following shortly; south-easterly breezes, veering to easterly and freshening northwards of East Cape atod Kawhia, and westerlies backing to increasing northerlies elsewhere. Tho barometer has continued high and steady everywhere, with moderating and variable winds. Fair to cloudy and cold ■weather has prevailed with drizzling rain, however, about Fovcaux Strait. D. 0. Wangajiui, July 2— Sky overcast: weather cold and raw. , .Fellding, July 2—Heavy frost during the previous night; fine morning; bleak, cold afternoon: rainy night threatening. Palmerston, July 2.—A hard frost this morning was followed by threatening weather. Ota-ki, July 2.—Cold, but flnei snow on ranges. Featherston. July 2.—Bright, -fine day. Greytown, July 2.—Fine to-day, but rain is apparently again threatening. Masterton, July 2.—A liecn frost was experienced this morning, this being followed by a snnny day.
