CONTINUATION CLASSES. Wanganul, July 1. Tho system of compulsory continuation classes was inaugurated to-day. The, experiment, which is the first of tho kind in New Zealand, is creating much interest. Tho boys must attend classes from 7 to !l two nights a week, and girls fi-om 2 lo 4 two afternoons per week. The compulsion refers to those between 14 and 17 years of age, who left school during tins year or last year. BRIEF MENTION. Auckland, Jnlv 1.
