Mrs. Jlulmwooil and her daughter, Mrs. Biillanc'j, of Wellington, have taken up their residence at St. John's Wood, after staying four months at Bournemouth. Hiss Connie Bain, of Christchurch, and her aunt, .Mrs. William Smyth, of Brisbane, expect to spend some lime in London, (hen going lo Xorway and Scotland in the autumn, Mr. and Mrs. Charles ivntlian, of Auckland, intend spending about nine months in England, and aro staying with Mrs. Nathan's parents at Keith House, Porclifler Gale. Mrs. .1. Carter, of Christchurch, has come on a visit to England after being in New Zealand for .'ll years. She is returning by the Kunhine on August 1. Mr. .J. P. Ewen, of Wellington, camp overland from Toulon. Jle went this week to Scotland, where he intends to pursue, his business for twelve months. , Miss Audrey Kirhardson, the Now Zealand violinist, was one of the performers at a special concert, given at Queen's Hall ou Sunday week, in aid of (he Titanic relief fund. Sir. Robert Hart, of Ashburton, who has been in England for over a year, left by the Hotorua for New Zealand. He expects to return to England nextspring. The Rev. G. P. Davys, late vicar of St. Peter's, Wellington, who, last year, married his cousin, and is now vicar of Blniiliam. Bedfordshire, is at present visiting London.
Mr. Robert Hannah, senr., of Wellington, Mrs., the Misses, and Messrs. Hannah (two) are in England at present, staying at Inverness Court Hotel, Hyde Park. They expect, to return to the Dominion next November.
Miss M. E. AYcstnn, of Auckland, arrived by the lonic. She hopes to visit tho Continent before returning to New Zealand. ' <j The Misses Burton (3), of Dunedin, arrived in England a few days ago, After staying for a short tiino in (lie I=le of Wight thpy tour Devon, Cornwall, tho North of England, Scotland, and Ireland, later visiting tho Continent. The Misses A r an Stavere-.i. of AA'cllington, who came over to England recently for Miss Adelaide Van Stave-en's debut in "Carmen," at Covent Garden, left on their return to Milan on Sunday last. Mr. P. Beaver, of Auckland, who arrived last month, and is at present at Blackpool, will shortly visit the Continent. Ho intends to return to New Zealand in October, and to take with him a party of ten immigrants. > Mr. Charles G. Hill, of Auckland, spent some little time in America and Canada on business and pleasure before coming to England, and lias booked his return passage for October next. Visits to Scotland and Ireland nre among his plans for the immediate future.
Dr. Palmer,, of New Zealand, is at E resent staying in Bristol. He has roiight over to England with him 110 pure whilo canaries, bred in New Zealand on tho Mendel theory. It is intended to ask the King's acceptance of a pair of these novelties for the Royal '""llr? and Mrs. AA'. L. and Miss M. Hook, Fcilditig, arc on an extended tour to England and tho Continent. After a few weeks in London they leave on n round of visits to relatives ii\ the country, returning to London next month. Mr. J. George; of Te Puke, and Mr. Jas. S. AVilson, and his daughter, of Mount Eden, arrived in London a few days ago, and mean to travel over England, Scotland, and Ireland, visiting all the agricultural shows going on. Later, alter seeing something of the Continent, they embark for New Zealand from Naples.
The Kev. G. n. Mann, president of tho New Zcnlnnd Primitive Methodist Conference, who- recently arrived in England, is now on a visit to friends of his youth at Liversidgo, Yorkshire. It was in thia district that, as a young man, Mr. Mann graduated as a preacher. Mr. Mnir and Mr. Bruce Muir. of Gisborne, will tour the United Kingdom, Ireland, and I he Continent before returning to New Zealand by wav of America and Canada at the end of the' year. Mr. AV. Atherton AVilson, of Christchurch, is at present staying in Paris. He shortly expects to spend a few weeks in Ireland, and then to visit Scotland and the Midlands before spending much time in London. Ho leaves'for New Zealand by the Orsova on August 2. Mrs. Percy D.yns, of Auckland, intends to remain in England for soino considerable tiino for the education of her daughter, who accompanied her here, and is at .school in Essex. Mrs. Dyns returns to London from Harrogate for .Tune, after which she proposes to go on the Continent, primarily to visit friends in Germany.
Miss Ivnapp, of AVanganni, arrived (his month in town..after three months en route in Italy. Switzerland, the l?hino District, and Helinimi. Miss Kiore King, of Hawkc's Bay, aro in England for something over a' year,' during which time Miss King \iill s'tudy elocution' and dramatic art at Sir H. Eeerbohm Tree's academy. Since their oyrival in March Mrs.. King and Miss King have breii visiting relatives in Cambridge and AA'arwiek.
