ORCHESTRAL CONCERT.
This evening the Municipal Orchestra gives- one of its attractive concerts in the Town Hall, and should draw a good audience, judging by the programme decided upon and published in another column. It is to be ' hoped that the general public, which so ably supported this society at their last concert, will not show any falling off of interest, but crowd the Town Hall this evening. The items selected are popular, as well as musical in the best sense, and should nppeal strongly to all music-lovers, comprising Anker's overture. "Masauiello," Ifossini's overture "William Tell," Sibelius's "jMiilandia," that grand national composition which is proscribed in "Russia, one movement from Schubert's "Seventh Symphony," and Mendelssohn's "Wedding March." Miss Hannah Sweeney— the' vocalist for the evening—will sing Kobandi'.s "Alia etella. confidente," with 'cello obbligato by Mr. P. U. Jolmstono. and Meyerbeer's "Roberto hi ohe adoro.", Mr. Horace Hunt will be accompanist.
