SUMMARY AND FORECAST. Present indications arc for moderate to strong southerly winds gcnorally, veering to south-easterly northward of Cook Strait, but backing to westerly elsewhere. Showery about East Cape and ■ in Fovcaux Strait, and cool and changeable,- but with fair weather prevailing generally. Barometer little movement, but with a- falling tendency shortly in • tho southern districts. The barometer rose fast on Saturday and Sunday, with southerly winds, increasing strong to B nle. The weather became very cold and stormy, with ram and hail and ■-now and sleet on higher levels. Seas wore verv heavy on the Kast Coast, especially abo'ut.
