MAGISTRATE'S COURT.

(Before Mr. W. G. Riddell, S.M.) At the Magistrate's Court yesterday Aldred Howard and Caleb Tilyard, two youths, were charged with having interrupted the parade of tho St. ihomass cadets, at Palm Grove, on May 31 last. Evidence was given to the effect that both accused had stood about the parade ground shouting out orders, and countermanding others, thus hindering the work of Lieutenant Smith and SergeantMajor E. J. Shearn. They refused to leave when asked, and tho police were communicated with. Both accused stated that they were themselves senior cadets. Mr. Riddell pointed out that tho Act provided for a ncavy fine in tho case of anyone interrupting parades. In this case, however, the boys had apparently merely forgotten themselves, and he would deal leniently with them. They were or-, dered to pay Court cosfs amounting t-o lis. A similar charge against Thomas Smith was withdrawn. George M'Gregor, charged with leaving a motor-car standing in Willis Street without lights was fined 55,, with 7s. costs. .' ' , . Two first-offondcrs charged with insobriety were also dealt with.
