The Afnnawatu Poultry Association's show opened to-day, and provided a strong side-line to the show proper. The competition in most of the classes is good, and several Wellington breeders figure in the prize-list. Air. J. D. Iremonger, of Kilbirnie, secured two first* and two seconds in Leghorns, and a third in AYyandotles. In modern game. Air. Thos. .Tamicson, of Wellington, notched two firsts, and Mr. F. Murphy three, firsts and a special. A first and special and a second fell to Mr. ,T. Gordon, in the Orpington section. Messrs. Doig and Thomas won a first, second, and third in Wyandotte;. Tho name of Air. .T. J. Elliott figures repeatedly in t.he pigeon classes, hia 6uccess?s being .trce firsts,
